DUMOS rooms: the whole house on one page

The one with the wall you have measured. Each room below sorts its pieces by what they are and prints the count, so a bedroom with a 60-inch gap beside the window goes straight to the dressers and reads the widths; a corner in a living room goes to the desks and reads the two arm lengths. The rooms are a plan of the house, and you can enter it at any door.

Every piece lives in exactly one room, chosen by where it stands rather than by what it is called. A vanity chair stands in the bedroom, a rolling desk in the office, a bar cabinet in the living room and a folding chair in seating, and the search box in the header finds a piece by its name if you disagree with us.

A few hundred, counted by family rather than by colour: a dresser that comes in five finishes is one page with five rows, not five pages. The count on each room card is the number of pages behind it, and the number of rows is larger.

Four. The bedroom, for the dressers that tip and the bunk beds with a rail; the office, for the chairs sold with the word ergonomic; the living room, for the TV stands that want anchoring; and the yard, for the patio heaters near anything that burns. Each note is written from the Consumer Product Safety Commission or OSHA, with the date we read it, on the page where the piece is, and the sources themselves are listed on our updates page.
