Under the STURDY Act, a dresser 27 inches or taller made after 1 September 2023 must pass federal stability tests and ship with an anti-tip device, and our fabric dressers of that height do ship with one; the strap only works once it is on the wall. A drawer left open for a climbing child is how most of these accidents start, and the commission's words are that they happen in the blink of an eye.
