A bar stool is bought against the counter and the card prints the seat height for that reason. A kitchen counter stands 36 inches and wants a 24 to 26-inch seat, ten inches under the lip for your thighs; a bar at 42 wants 30, which is not on this shelf. The stools most people have rated add a swivel, a low back and a footrest bar at the height a foot actually reaches, in PU leather that wipes. The saddle stools drop the back for a counter that is walked past; the barrel stools wrap it round; the metal stools are for a workshop bench.
