Fabric-drawer dressers on a steel frame under a wood top, from a two-drawer nightstand size to a ten-drawer chest, in wide and tall forms, in grey, black, brown, white and green, with a TV-stand version.
A fabric dresser is a different object from the wood dresser it replaces, and the price on the card says so. The drawers are non-woven fabric bins that slide on a powder-coated steel frame; the top is a wood board; the whole thing arrives in a flat carton one person carries upstairs and assembles in an hour. The drawer count is the name: two drawers makes a nightstand, five to seven makes a low, wide chest, and eight to ten makes the tall dresser that stands in a closet. The fluted dressers on the same shelf are the wood-fronted cousins at a wood price.
Height is the figure to read twice. A dresser that stands 27 inches or taller and weighs 30 lb or more falls under the federal STURDY rule if it was made after September 2023, which means stability tests and an anti-tip device in the box; the tall dressers here ship with the strap. The Consumer Product Safety Commission's campaign says to anchor every piece with drawers regardless, and its five steps are on this page. The TV stand dressers put a wider top over the same drawers for a screen up to 55 inches, and the commission says to anchor the TV as well.
A dresser, a bookshelf, a TV stand or a cabinet is the furniture that tips, and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission runs a whole campaign, Anchor It!, on that one point: anchor all furniture with drawers, doors and shelves, and every TV, to the wall. The commission's five steps take a few minutes with the kit, a drill and a stud finder: fix a bracket to the wall, push the piece back against it, fix a bracket to the piece, run the strap between them, and tighten until a tug moves nothing. Under the STURDY Act, a dresser 27 inches or taller made after 1 September 2023 must pass federal stability tests and ship with an anti-tip device, and our fabric dressers of that height do ship with one; the strap only works once it is on the wall. A drawer left open for a climbing child is how most of these accidents start, and the commission's words are that they happen in the blink of an eye.
Every sentence in this note about safety comes from a named public source. All of them, with the date we read them, are on our updates page.

03Asked before ordering
What people ask us about dresser before they pick a piece.
We state a per-drawer figure on most dressers and the card prints it; a fabric bin takes folded clothes and not much else, and the wood top takes a lamp and a few books. A TV goes on the TV stand dresser, which is built for it, and both get anchored.
Yes. The tall dressers ship with an anti-tip device because federal rules require it, and the commission says to anchor every piece with drawers, doors or shelves whatever its height, because a child climbing an open drawer is how tip-overs happen. The strap, a stud finder and five minutes do it; the steps are on the bedroom page.
Measure the sill. The two-drawer nightstand stands about 20 inches, the five to seven-drawer wide dressers 24 to 27, and the tall eight to ten-drawer dressers 39 to 46; the height is on every card, and a dresser under a window should stop below the sill.
